The Medisys Neocare Neonatal Ventilator is a compact, microprocessor-controlled, pneumatically powered ventilatory device designed specifically for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients. Prioritizing patient safety, it incorporates both volume and pressure limiting features to help prevent barotrauma and volutrauma—an essential consideration for delicate respiratory systems.

Ventilation Modes & Functionality

• Employs a continuous-flow, time-cycled ventilation approach—a method widely accepted for neonatal respiratory care.

• Offers versatile ventilation modes such as CMV, ASSIST, SIMV, and SPONTANEOUS, including CPAP support and Apnea backup ventilation in SIMV and spontaneous modes.

• Rapid manual breaths can be delivered with ease via a dedicated control, enhancing practitioner response in emergent situations.

• The servo-controlled oxygen blender ensures precise FiO₂ delivery (21%–100%) using a closed-loop feedback system, with an accessible “100% O₂ emergency override” function.

Safety & Triggering

• Incorporates dual triggering mechanisms—pressure-triggering and flow-triggering—with the flow sensor positioned proximally to the patient, improving responsiveness and reducing false triggers.

• Features redundant gas input support, automatically switching to the available gas source in the event of air or oxygen supply failure.

• Equipped with a suite of alarms and safety protocols, including alerts for high/low inspiratory pressure, loss of gas supply, apnea episodes, and electrical faults. The system also logs alarm history for later review.

Monitoring & Display

• A large 12.1-inch graphical LCD presents both Pressure-Time and Flow-Time curves, along with real-time values of vital metrics such as expired tidal volume, minute volume, FiO₂, PIP, MAP, and I:E ratio.

• Intuitive display design enhances ease of operation and situational awareness at the bedside.

• Includes automated calibration for the oxygen sensor to maintain consistent accuracy over time.
